Today the Mayor of Kansas City recognized The Truth About Drugs program in Kansas City, for our efforts in preventative drug education! So far we’ve reached over 30,000 people in the Kansas City area! October, 2022
The Upper and Lower School visited the art museum, where we learned about art dating back to ancient Greece and Rome. This included statues, architecture, and paintings!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, located in Kansas City, Missouri, is renowned for its encyclopedic collection of art from nearly every continent and culture, with a particular emphasis on its extensive collection of Asian art.
The upper school visited the National World War I Museum. They learned a lot from the staff members at the museum and even went up to the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower! The National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, was opened in 1926 as the Liberty Memorial. In 2004, it was designated by the United States Congress as the country’s official war memorial and museum dedicated to World War I.
The Lower School visited the local fire station in De Soto, Kansas. We were given a tour of the station and learned all about the tools and equipment firefighters use to keep people safe.
